This is not a frivolous issue. I have been on a number of focus groups last year in Ontario about this. ON has released a new policy which limits the costs hospitals can charge.

But there are more aspects to this. How far away is patient parking? How easy is it to understand the fee structure? Do you have to go all over to find the admin who can give you a favourable rate parking pass?

And my own issue: Last year my daughter-in-law was giving birth in hospital and it became an emergency. My son called in a panic and we rushed down (it was close, thank goodness). We parked in the closest lot and were faced with a machine that asked us to chose how long we would be and pay accordingly. My poor husband freaked out -- what do I choose, what do I choose? Pay the max I shouted back and in we streaked. Footnote: Mom and babe were fine if traumatized by an emergency C section. My son is still recuping.

What aspects of parking do you see as a problem and how should it be solved?
