You might not have seen this if you were not on Twitter looking at the #NHLC2017 hashtag.

Now when you search it Angelas's tweet is 2nd from the top, after Jane Philpott, when you look at Top Tweets. She said:

Have been requests from past participants to include patients. Curious..still not happening #**NHLC2017? #Patientsincluded @PatientAdvisors

This was in answer to Duncan Campbell (@craigavonent)

A straw poll showed zero @PatientVoices in the #nhcl2017 resource prioritization session, almost all wanted #PatientsIncluded next year.

      Retweeted Duncan Campbell and said

How can you prioritize without hearing from your primary constituents? Start with inviting patient to the table. #**NHLC2017 #PatientsIncluded

We were criticizing the National Healthcare Leaders Conference in Vancouver. Though they had some patient speakers courtesy of other organizational presenters, the only patient in the audience was Isabel Jordan, who attended courtesy of Duncan Campbell . He arrived there Monday morning on Day 1 and gave his pass to Isabel. There's a healthcare leader for you.

I tweeted about their lack of class in not inviting Duncan to stay for the event.

Was surprised that #nhlc2017 did not invite you to stay on at the conference, after you donated your pass to @seastarbatita Duncan #nhlc2017

Of course, it was a conference for members and just to be a member is $475 and you need to provide for Active Application

Supporting documents required: Copies of your diplomas and degrees or transcripts; a copy of your curriculum vitae; copies of your current business card with your title and organization chart with your position circled.

This area interests me - the idea of patients as healthcare leaders. I think some of our members are fine examples of patients as leaders in healthcare. Happy to hear what others think.

Is it too much of a step for healthcare to take?
