REVIEW OF TWO EXISTING HEALTH INFORMATION SHARING SOLUTIONS

      WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
We are seeking feedback from patient advisors on the design of a potential technology solution for sharing and accessing patient health information. Patient feedback will be used to help evaluate existing technology solutions based on patient needs.

      WHAT ARE THE EXPECTATIONS?
      • A single 1-hour session will be held on July 17, 2017 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in person or via teleconference.
In person location: 333 Bay Street, Toronto, 46th floor.
Teleconference: details will be emailed to you.
***Please note that we will be reimbursing travel expenses for GTA residents.
      • A short package of materials will be emailed to participants to read prior to the session (requiring less than 30 minutes of preparation)

      WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT?
The project has been introduced because of a November 2016 report entitled Value and Opportunities Created by Ontario's Digital Health Assets. A key recommendation from this report was that the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) should undertake a detailed review of the two existing technology solutions to determine if they are able to fulfill the future needs of sharing and accessing patient health information.

      WHO IS YOUR ORGANIZATION?
KPMG is a consulting firm with knowledge and experience in designing and assessing technology solutions. We have been selected by the MOHLTC to conduct the review of the two solutions as an unbiased third-party.

      HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
If you are interested in attending the session please email Sasha Lisovsky (slisovsky@kpmg.ca) by Monday July 10th to indicate your interest, and once you receive the meeting invite please respond to confirm your availability.
Development of 1 Quality Standard (over the course of approximately 1 year)
HOW WILL YOU SUPPORT THE INVOLVEMENT OF ADVISORS?
All materials provided will be in plain language and the first 10 minutes of our session will be spent providing a background on the review and answering any questions that patient advisors may have. We will also be reimbursing travel expenses for GTA residents.

      QUESTIONS
If you are interested in attending the session or have any questions, please contact Sasha Lisovsky either via email (slisovsky@kpmg.ca) or phone (647 777 5323).
