This is a conference in Toronto on Sept 28

I heard from Ilan Shahin by Direct Message - I know him from Twitter and I accepted his offer. I didn't ask how many patients he wants - sounds like 1 or 2 more. I said yes because I know him . He's a sponsor, as is Canada Health Infoway, who rejected me and also Kimberley for the Partners Conference. On the plus side we are having an influence and I didnt want to discourage his initiative.

Looks like we are making an impression Kimberley.

"My company, @ConsultLoop is looking to sponsor the registration fees for a couple of patients interested in attending OntarioMDs Every Step Conference on EMRs and digital health tools. Would you be interested, or know other patient advocates who are interested in digital health and may like to attend? The benefit for us is that we hope to get some thoughts on things from a patient perspective.

      I suggested PAN here

The Patient Advisors Network sounds great. Is there a point-person you suggest I contact? I think one of the sessions at this conference is by a rheumatologist talking about extracting data to improve care. E-referrals is of tremendous value to patients. We've been live for over a year and have had great feedback from patients. We strongly feel our wait time data, directory data, and improved patient experience and safety should be standard across the province!

Great, I appreciate you spreading the word. To be honest, it's inspired by some of your tweets calling out conferences for being inaccessible to patients. There's not enough of a patient voice in digital health to urge better, faster improvement."
