Panelist needed for conference for nurse leaders - Sep 24-27, 2019 ON

There is an opportunity for a patient in or near the Niagara region to present on a panel at a conference for nurse leaders on September 24 - 27, 2019 at the White Oaks Conference Resort and Spa in Niagara-on-the-lake, Ont.

The panel is on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 9:30 - 10:45 am.

Title of the session is "Technology and eHealth - My Personal Electronic Health Record: How Fast Will it Move".

This would provide a great opportunity to engage with nurse executives from all sectors and from all over Ontario.

Objectives of the session:
1. Provide an understanding of the role of digital health and nursing leadership in health system transformation;
2. Describe the importance of digital health in achieving optimal patient outcomes;
3. Generate dialogue about the role of the executive nurse leader in ensuring that digital health maximizes client and provider outcomes.

The patient partner will be asked to discuss their experience with digital health, such as using a patient portal, discuss the importance of digital health in achieving optimal patient outcomes and their own experience in the health care system.
