The Therapeutics Initiative at the University of British Columbia will be hosting the next CME WEBINAR of our Best Evidence Webinar Series on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020, on the topic of: PILL SPLITTING. This WEBINAR is geared toward both clinicians and lay people taking medications and is presented in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, when pill splitting can be used as an effective strategy (in addition to deprescribing) to stretch prescriptions and save money. This may assist social distancing or quarantine, and extend drug supplies. Halving the dose can work well for many indications. Splitting a larger pill can maintain dose at lower cost.
