      Dear PAN members,

I am excited to write to you as one of the PAN co-leads in the CIHR-funded Canadian Patient Partner Study (CPPS) team to request your participation and your help to promote our online survey of patient partners and advisors across Canada through your networks.

The aim of this study is to improve our understanding of the origins and motivations, defining features, experiences and contributions of the patient partner and advisor role in the Canadian health system. The online survey will provide a key source of data to explore these questions.

To promote the survey, I've shared the attached flyer and links to the survey below in both English (http://bit.ly/CPPS_ECPP) and French (http://bit.ly/ECPP_CPPS). The survey is now open and should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

The study has been reviewed and approved by the Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board (HIREB). A full list of team members and collaborators is provided below:

      • Julia Abelson and Meredith Vanstone (Co-Leads, McMaster University)
      • Carolyn Canfield and Mary Anne Levasseur (Patient Advisors Network (PAN))
      • Pierre-Gerlier Forest and Myles Leslie (University of Calgary)
      • Carol Fancott (Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement)
      • Audrey L'Espérance (CEPPP, University of Montreal)
      • Paula Rowland (University Health Network and University of Toronto)
      • Geoff Wilson (Nova Scotia Health Authority)

If you have any questions about this study, please get in touch or contact Laura Tripp (Study Coordinator) at lauratripp@mcmaster.ca.

Thanks very much for your help.

      Sincerely,
      Carolyn

It's extended to Dec 31, 2020 so you still have a chance to share your experience
