The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is calling for additional members of their Institute Advisory Board (IAB).

Rick Glazier is the new Scientific Director of the CIHR Institute of Health Services and Policy Research taking over from Robyn Tamblyn this January. He is committed to partnering with patients and is looking at how the process of engaging with CIHR can be improved -- with no promises! - but at least he sees the obstacles for us and wants to help.

Can you tell me more about the IAB and what sort of affiliations are best to input on the CIHR application and PIN forms?

Susan, this is an old notice from last year however, it is worthwhile applying to CIHR. I think I mostly put the research teams I had been on and my relationship with the local SPOR Support Unit.

I had applied several years ago and then finally got the call last year so be patient. Cheers! Alies
