This program is put on by the University of Toronto Med School. They seem to be funded to the extent of extras like pizza or subway tokens but not beyond that. I can suggest they try to budget, or do a remote link up to include people in rural areas.

I imagine our Premier's mind map of Ontario is a little distorted based on where his voters are. In fact he seems to dislike Toronto in many ways.

There are inequities in rural areas especially in access, When the CIHI report comes out there will be good ammunition in it to make your point

Thanks Annette. I look forward to the CIHI report. U of T Med School was not my target. It is the across the board exclusionary practice of almost 3/4 of the taxpayers in the province to events supported by taxpayer money. Plain and simple, it’s wrong. It flies in the face of all we PFA’s stand for. Any discrimination needs to be called out - be it by race, gender, colour, creed, or, in Ontario right now - geography.

It irritates the hell out of me how we can extol the virtues of patient partnerships, equity and inclusiveness and respect and then say, sorry, if you don’t exist within Ford’s beloved GTA, you don’t exist at all. Is this not the height of hypocrisy, exclusivity, discrimination and elitism? Yes, by all means share with this IPE. Just one of many organizations with no backbone to stand up and just say “NO - that’s unfair”.

              Thanks Annette,

l would find this very interesting as my experience has always been with fractured health silos, not teams. Doctors and services in multiple LHINs who don’t communicate.

maybe I will contact and see if they are interested in hearing about that, it will still be a problem with the OHT’s.
