Call for video submissions for World Patient Safety Day

On 17 September 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO), international partners and all countries will celebrate World Patient Safety Day (WPSD).

With the global pandemic and unprecedented pressure on health systems worldwide, this year's WPSD theme is ‘Health Worker Safety: A Priority for Patient Safety'. PFPSC has adopted the WHO WPSD slogan of ‘Safe Health Workers, Safe Patients'. This slogan emphasizes mutual support. This reflects the partnership between patients, families, and front-line health workers to achieve patient safety.

Join us in celebration of the WPSD theme for 2020.

PFPSC members, Patient Safety Alliance members, and front-line health care workers will share quick videos related to ‘Safe Health Workers, Safe Patients'. These will be shown in a video together and shared through social media, professional associations, and Canada's WPSD event to reach as many frontline health workers as possible on September 17, 2020.

By making sure healthcare workers have the support they need, we make sure that patients are safe.
