The International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) is the leading international organization that supports quality improvement world wide, with a special effort to involve middle and low income countries. ISQua also has a growing participation of patients and caregivers in its operations.

This upcoming webinar has a terrific pre-reading on "Intelligent Kindness" (attached below) co-authored by John Ballatt, one of the presenters. You might find this interesting, even if you can't attend the event. The convener of this webinar series is brilliant and modest Paul Batalden, who coined the great adage: "Every system is perfectly designed to get the results it gets", thus challenging us to turn to system design, not personal blame. I recommend the entire webinar series.

DESCRIPTION: This is the fifth session offering an overview of the knowledge that underpins the coproduction of healthcare service. This session will focus on developing an understanding of the fourth stream of knowledge: "lived reality of the person sometimes known as professional" that must be developed and used to coproduce healthcare services. The session will include a conversation with John Ballatt, Tina Foster and Paul Batalden as together they explore this frame and its use in the improvement of the coproduction of healthcare service in times like these.

3rd: Coproducing Healthcare Service and its improvement: understanding the “as is” system and the experience of its navigation.

2nd: Coproducing Healthcare Service and its improvement: understanding the lived reality of the person sometimes known as "patient"

The first instalment was in the form of a virtual conference, which was in two parts:

Healthcare Coproduction in the COVID 19 Era - Part 1

Healthcare Coproduction in the COVID 19 Era - Part 2

Hi Troy, Sorry about that! Thanks for the quick head's up. I think I've fixed it above with a LINK to the pdf. Let me know if this works! Below is a blog that John Ballatt and co-authors have created to follow the themes of Intelligent Kindness through COVID times. Best wishes. Stay safe. Cheers, Carolyn
